A Surprise Engagement in Downtown Winter Garden, FL.

SHE SAID YES!
I am a huge fan of surprises, especially when that surprise ends in two dear friends getting engaged. This was such a special session for me not only because Elizabeth was completely shocked, but also because these two happen to be dear friends of mine.

When Collin told me he was going to propose to Elizabeth and asked if I was available to photograph the occasion I would’ve said yes no matter what. It’s not often you get to watch two friends make that next step in their relationship, so I was not going to turn down this opportunity. The week before Collin and I went to Downtown Winter Garden together to scout out the perfect spot. It was important that we found something intimate and picturesque, and we landed on this little courtyard right near the Plant Street Market. Collin and I laughed because the moment we walked up to the spot it felt like it was made for people to propose at, and with a little decorating it turned into the perfect spot!

Jump to the morning of the proposal, I was so excited and nervous. As Collin and Elizabeth were walking up the spot I made sure to hid behind the bushes so that the first thing Elizabeth saw was the beautiful setup, and not me pointing my camera at her. Once they got settled in I walked out of my hiding spot and began capturing the moment. You could just tell that these two were so in love with each other and it took everything in me to not cry while capturing these memories. It’s times like these that I reflect on and feel truly blessed to be able to do what I do. I wish these two all of the happiness in the world and cannot wait for what their future holds.
